I have install amsn, and my girlfriend use it too. i have use a lot of time before with my and her count but now it does'nt work now with my account!
I can't choose my account !
I want to connect myself, and amsn say that another instance is in use with my username ... but I don't see any wish.exe in task manager ... I do uninstall , restart ... and reinstall ... always the same message !!
how can I disable the other amsn ? I am lost .. really !
Please Help ! I don't want to install Msn ! I want aMsn !
any idea to help me ?

Open file C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\amsn\profiles

You will see a number next to your account name. Make that number 0 and it will work OK.

it did not work because the number always change ..  but I find what was the pb .. in the file config.xml in my profile path, the login value was my girlfriend'account name ! I change with mine and it works again !

:S Weird how it got messed like this... if you can reproduce it PLEASE tell us how !!!!!!!!!!

BTW, you have to make these numbers 0 when all instances of aMSN are closed (and when you are sure that they are closed). Wink

yes, the bug happens, never managed to understand how or why or when it happens...
the profiles with the numbers set to 0 needs indeed to be done when all instances are closed, but in this particular case, it wouldn't have made a difference....
