I am currently running 98.4

You could try to search for an PPA in Google. Find a PPA that offers aMSN and add it to the repository manager, then just install it from there.

What is a PPA?

I would have thought the ubuntu repository would be where the ubuntu files would be fould, or at the least have a link of the web site pointing to the files....

a link would be helpful is all...

cheers

I just searched for a PPA and I didn't found any, but that doesn't matter, as you can get aMSN via SVN. We have a really easy ste-by-step guide on how to get it here: http://www.amsn-project.net/wiki/Installing_SVN#Linux

Yes, indeed, SVN os the development version. We have a rule about not breaking SVN, nor making it unestable, so you're safe to install SVN.

As of the links for the latest stable release, we don't package aMSN for all the distros out there, so you'll have to do it on your own or find a PPA.

But then again, you're safe installing SVN.
