Is this a joke?

In development for years, still feels like in a pre-alpha status. Buggy menus, buggy functions, confusing UI. I was forced to use amsn around 2008 for a few weeks. Now I tried it again in 2012: NOTHING's changed. Everything is the same old garbage, except now it can't even stay online. File send does not work. Settings getting forgotted on every launch. Sometimes one click enough on a button, sometimes double-click needed.
Are you guys serious? This software is not ready for public testing. As a programmer, I would let this project rest in peace and post a goodbye letter on the front page. Announced amsn2 what, 4 years ago? I think the developers are not-existing or spending less than 10 hours/month on this. In 2012, even a school project requires more commitment.
Seriously, just stop it. For everyone's sake.

Why would you waste your time complaining about something that you don't like?
If you want to improve it, do it. If you don't want to use it, then don't use it.
Saying all that stuff doesn't help us in any way. In fact, that's not a constructive critic, that's just garbage.

Totally agree with alex. Furthermore, to be a reverse enjeenering software I think it works only too well. It is obvious that there will be always (new) issues.
