problem with portable AMSN version

I always want to use portable AMSN in my work place, because it's prohibited to use any kind of messenger.

check this problem i always get when using portable versions either made by me or from famous web sites.

Other thing why don't you just make portable version for each release.

I can't test that on my virtual machine with XP (as I imagine that's Windows 7 only compatible). I'll be able to test this on monday at work.

do you connect with a proxy?
If yes, have you tried to connect directly with your portable version?

(If you are using a proxy, is it http (post method)?)

I use TOR to access MSN port and other blocked sites in my work place,

is there any solution for this problem?

Just to be sure, does that happen with other versions too?

this seem to be a general issue when using a proxy;
I've tried it with 0.98.4 and 0.98.9 - in both cases a direct connection works, while http proxy (post method) fails with abookerror.
