It keeps kicking me and not letting me sign back in now. Is this part of the same bug, or the msn servers playing up? It's very frustrating, whatever it is.

edit - Scratch that. It isn't the msn server. It's doing it every time I type anything at all. No error messages... just constant disconnection.

It just wiped everything again so I've had to use an unstable version that keeps crashing and disconnecting without it actually fixing anything. And I didn't notice aMsn in the updates list that came up an hour or two ago either. Maybe it clashes with something else? Is there a way for me to bring up a list of the most recent updates? I scanned the list for aMsn when it came up but nothing there directly referred to it and I don't remember the full list now.

You won't get aMSN svn version update (unless you're using some kind of repository with SVN updated daily).

I thought the point of using SVN in the first place was to get the most recent updates and bug fixes. Huh In any case, the bug fix doesn't seem to have actually fixed anything on my laptop. And I completely removed all traces of any other version before installing SVN to make sure nothing clashed. But I still have the constant crashing, message bouncing and disconnecting too. - which mostly seems to happen when sending offline messages or using smilies, if that helps. I'm afraid being able to use MSN is quite important to my organisation, and so I may regrettably have to start looking for alternative software if I can't find some way to fix it. I really don't have the time to keep reloading and signing back in and double checking that everyone got the messages they were meant to get. It's very frustrating, because none of the other MSN applications I've found are as good as aMSN (when it's working).

Sorry for the random posting in an older thread, but I just recently added a new account to amsn to see if there was any difference between that and the one I usually use. The old account still gets wiped, the new one when it updated this morning didn't. Just thought I'd let you know in case it helped with the coding.

Since this is the exact same issue I'm adding to this thread again...

I've recently had to install a brand new hard drive, and have thus had to reinstall everything all over again, including aMSN. I was hoping that a completely fresh install would fix this issue and decided to give it another try. However it's just wiped everything again less than a week after installation. I installed the latest version available in Yast at the time, and have had a couple of updates sent to me since then in with my other automatic updates. Clearly this bug hasn't actually been fixed.

EDIT:

Scratch that. It's WORSE. I haven't installed any new updates since that last one and yet everything has been wiped again. It seems to be wiping every time it restarts.
