aMSN team did a script for all of you that don't want to or don't have to understand git, making testing aMSN2 very easy. The whole script will update itself, and then it will let you choose what do you want to do. If you're a 'normal' user who just want's to test the very latest changes in aMSN2, you just pick the option, the script downloads and checks everything for you, and then runs aMSN2. Isn't that easy? Please report any bugs you find in the script. Don't post here any aMSN2 related bugs. It's stil not done! Download from here: http://www.amsn-project.net/script/amsn2-git.shRegards

Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention that it's linux-only. A similar script for windows could be made, but I wasn't planing to do so atm. Anyways, if the demand is high, I'll do it.

Still has a long way to go though So don't mind if it's missing lots of features Hoping to find a job soon and after I settle down I'll probably get back to contributing to aMSN2 Hopefully this script can get more people involved

Hello everybody, I just saw this script, which seems very interesting I mus confess : a simple way to test aMSN2,what a pleasure :-D Anyway, I'm having troubles using it : the installation part was good, but when I'm trying to hit "3 : Run aMSN 2", I get this : All good. What would you like to do? [1] I'd like to install/upgrade if already installed my aMSN2. [2] I'd like to make some work on aMSN2. [3] Run aMSN2. [4] Exit this script. 3 Select one of the available front ends. env: python2: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
Nothing happened then. I'v no choice... I'm using : python 2.7.2.-7 Python-qt4 python-gtk2, version 2.24.0-2. python-gobject v.3.0 python-gobject2 v.2.28.6-6 pyopen-ssl v.0.12-1 python-crypto 2.3-2 Anyway, here's a french translation of the script, if it can be useful to someone : script francophone

Sorry about that, running python was hardcoded as "python2 amsn2.py ....". So, I just fixed it, so try it again.

Well I'm sorry... I downloaded it again, but now I get this message : What would you like to do? [1] I'd like to install/upgrade if already installed my aMSN2. [2] I'd like to make some work on aMSN2. [3] Run aMSN2. [4] Exit this script. 3 Select one of the available front ends. env: amsn2.py: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
I'm XQTing the script in ~/aMSN, so it created a new folder ~/aMSN/amsn2-git in which is located amsn2.py. I tried to move the script in the folder of amsn2.py, but no effect :-s I had a look in the code and couldn't find anything that looked bad (but I'm not a dev anyway) so that I could fix it myself :-s Sorry, but thanks for your work!

Yup, sorry for that one too, (I really should test my code before commiting). Anyways, I tested it now, and it seems to work. Try again!
