Every time I open a chat window, previous last messages appear before starting to chat. I want to store my conversations history without last messages appearing in conversation window. The only way I've found is to go in preferences > logging and disable the first checkbox on the top, but I'm afraid in this way I also stop history logging. How to do, and in which folder does amsn svn store conversations history?

[aMsn version: 0.99b; SVN version: 12196]

Hi nick,

just disable the 'remind' plugin (and enable logging again)

history folder

Oh well, thank you very much BW.
Is it possible to make a svn version portable? I'd like that those folder were in another folder selected by me.

Ok thank you, I did that operation, and I notice that the file and the script folder have an esclamation mark now, and other have an interrogative point.. what does it mean?
I copied the amsn_config folder into the new path but still cant see smileys...

the exclamation mark on the file is because you have changed it and on the script folder because you have changed something in the folder (at least the file 'amsn')

the interrogative point is at files and folders that haven't been downloaded by TortoiseSVN; can you tell us these, it might help to understand why your smileys... won't show up

ok, this looks like you have downloaded the files with TortoiseSVN twice
if the screenshot is from 'program files\amsn' then all the files/folders with a tick mark and the the folder '.svn' are not necessary.
(all these are already in the folder scripts)

this should leave the following files/folders:
bin
lib
scripts
scripts-0.98.3
amsn (amsn.exe)
Uninstall (Uninstall.exe)
(maybe more)

about the smiles...:
are there interrogative points in the folder scripts?

maybe something went wrong with the files/folders copied in the new profiles folder;
how are the structured?

edit:
on the other topic you wrote about lost configuration and smiles... after switching to SVN,
did you recover that before you changed the profiles path?

Are the files still at the old location (the ones you had before switching to SVN)?
If yes, could you switch back to the stable version (close amsn; rename 'scripts' to 'scripts_SVN' and 'scripts-0.98.3' to 'scripts'; open again) an see if you have you smiles back

No it's from Desktop/Amsn (since I want to make my amsn portable)

yes, they are: amsn_config (folder), amsn_received (folder), gnash-dbg (file), and the "amsn" file has the esclamation mark..

yes.. I tried to copy the old amsn_config folder and its settings into the new svn path..

Is this way good? I was thinking to re-install svn version and try again..   Undecided

This shouldn't be a problem; (re-install svn won't help, I think)

just to be sure, the config, old logs and so on are still not appearing within SVN, not only smileys?

Hi, I tried to reinstall all. I correctly installed the basic version and then I made the same procedure with svn checkout but something must have gone wrong.

These are the last lines of svn checkout process:

Code:
C:\Users\Nicola\Desktop\aMSN\scripts\utils\macosx
Can't move 'C:\Users\Nicola\Desktop\aMSN\scripts\utils\macosx\.svn\tmp\entries' to 'C:\Users\Nicola\Desktop\aMSN\scripts\utils\macosx\.svn\entries': Directory or file may be damaged.

And this is the error window appearing when I launch amsn:

How to do?   Embarrassed

I re-install all over again and all work now! I made my svn portable and saved the old configuration just by copying from the old amsn_config folder. Thanks a lot.
