Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential libpng-dev libjpeg-dev tcl8.5 tk8.5 tcl8.5-dev tk8.5-dev
from http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=242566

sorry but, could you rewrite that in english? i dont know french...
 thanks

Running amsn-0.98.3-2.fc14.x86_64 from Fedora repo I have the same problem since few days. I did test with svn version and I have also the same problem.

Tonight I did a new test with amsn-0.98.3-2.fc14.x86_64 and I got for the first time following message :

Quote
[23:42:08] Une erreur est survenue lors de l'envoi du message suivant:
(La messagerie différée est actuellement indisponible)

The meaning in english of this message is "differed messages service is not available now".

Is it a problem with aMSN or with servers ?

while I'm waiting for an answer i tried to install with ./configure but the terminal said error: Your current Tcl/Tk installation has a version number of 8.4. The minimal version required for aMSN to run is Tcl/Tk 8.5. when i check software manager i linux mint it says i have both 8.4 and 8.5 installed

If this can read offline messages, stay with it.

Don't worry, it's amsn-0.98.4 + one or two commits from svn, that's probably why it's 0.99b and not 0.98.4.
The must important is not the number in the about box but the version of the packages amsn and amsn-data Wink
