Hi When starting aMSN I am getting this crazy error. Have checked permissions for the folder of scripts etc and tried the SVN thing. No joy. Any ideas? Haven't tried in Linux environment but would be nice to get working on Windows 7. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and deleted C: aMSN stuff and reinstalled. Also no joy Thanks http://j.imagehost.org/view/0399/error

Could you run amsn as admin just to be sure?

Did you installed aMSN as an admin? If not, try to do that.

Right-click on the profiles folder, then Properties > Security and edit to put total control in your user account.

Sorry I get what you mean now - all profile settings are full control, administrator etc on both the Profile folder and the Program files folder. Scripts and profile both have full permissions Sorry for the denseness there Any other ideas? Thanks for posting BTW

You can try what I suggested! Run amsn as administrator (right click > run as admin)

Could you make a screenshot of the "Security/Permisions" Tab in Properties window?

That's the wrong folder... The folder that you must look for is C:\Program Files\aMSN\
Also, could you make sure that also "SYSTEM" and "Everyone" have "Full control" over that folder?

Oops, I was wrong too. You need full control access in your .amsn folder in C:\Users\your_user\<I'm lost here>\.amsn (haven't used Vista/7 never :p)
