Hi, I'm using amsn 0.97.2, debian 5 version. Yesterday I started to be unable to receive offline messages. I get a window telling me "you got 3 offline message" (or 1, or 5, etc.), but when I click on it nothings happens. After having read some stuff on the internet, I tried the CTRL S command and here is what I get (I copy past what I get when I click the "yes" on the window asking me if I want to see offline messages): [12:40:48] Sending SOAP request to http://storage.msn.com/storageservice/schematizedstore.asmx with action http://www.msn.com/webservices/storage/w10/GetItemVersion [12:40:48] Hotmail: 0 unread emails [12:40:48] Hotmail: 0 unread emails in others folders [12:40:48] hotmail_procmsg: Finishing [12:40:48] InitSpaces: ERROR: Method not allowed for Everyone user [12:40:53] Sending SOAP request to https://rsi.hotmail.com/rsi/rsi.asmx with action http://www.hotmail.msn.com/ws/2004/09/oim/rsi/GetMessage [12:40:54] ::abook::getFirewalled: connection_success (-3) [12:40:54] My IP is 82.246.88.33 [12:40:54] [OIM]Unable to fetch message from =?utf-8?B?TWFyaWU=?= <john_do@live.fr>; MsgId is 6827B6BB-3744-4264-BBFF-1CBAE595AA8B [12:40:54] Sending SOAP request to https://rsi.hotmail.com/rsi/rsi.asmx with action http://www.hotmail.msn.com/ws/2004/09/oim/rsi/GetMessage [12:40:55] [OIM]Unable to fetch message from =?utf-8?B?bWFyZ2F0ZUBmcmVlLmZy?= <joe_doe@free.fr>; MsgId is D217A315-4CC8-333D-A7C2-94A4FC380647 [12:40:55] Sending SOAP request to https://rsi.hotmail.com/rsi/rsi.asmx with action http://www.hotmail.msn.com/ws/2004/09/oim/rsi/GetMessage [12:40:56] [OIM]Unable to fetch message from =?utf-8?B?bWFyZ2F0ZUBmcmVlLmZy?= <joe_doe@free.fr>; MsgId is A53060CC-AAD2-4B5D-B32C-53A444E7FC6C [12:40:59] Challenge received, answering [12:40:59] Challenge accepted Any clue?

Does it work now ? (no changes, just checking if it was a temporary server issue that got fixed)

This is an old thread actually.
Get latest SVN, the issue is fixed

I'm sorry, pardon my ignorance, but what is a SVN? If it means the latest version, then I have it.

Same problem here. I have aMSN for mac 0.98.3 on MacOSX 10.5.8 and I downloaded it again from http://www.amsn-project.net/download.phpstill shows me I have 4 offline messages and when I click "yes" it won't let me see them. Am I supposed to download aMSN from another source?

Hi BW!! Hey man, thanks a lot, it works now!!
Guys, if you're a MAC user, like me, don't do the "The Subversion way" (well at least it did not work for me), but instead do the "The development archive way" (this one worked fine to me).
The "development archive way" is a little more time consuming, but it's a sure thing (for me it was)!
Thanks again BW!!

i suddenly started having this issue too. I am running Ubuntu 10.04. A few days ago i suddenly stopped receiving messages that were left for me if I was offline. Nothing has changed, so I don't know what would cause it. I am running the latest version of aMSN (0.98.3). I checked out the info on subversion, but I honestly am not sure what to do with that, even following those directions... in terminal I ran sudo apt-get install subversion Followed by svn co https://amsn.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/amsn/trunk/amsn amsn no errors, but not clear on what to do next. Any help appreciated!

You're doing it ok! Just keep on with the steps!
No go to that directory (cd amsn) and then configure, make and install (follow the steps!)

I am having this problem, both on Suse 11.3 and on Windows 7 pro 32 bit.
Installing the latest version solved it for windows.
I will now try the same on Linux.
