Hey,

I have a logitech G19 keyboard (it has a little LCD screen on it).
When I am ingame I used a little app to chat with aMSN. With that app you can type "on" the screen of the G19, so you don't have to ALT+TAB all the time.
You can find the app here: http://mylcd.sourceforge.net/wvs/index.html

Since a few days I've encountered a problem.
The app connects to aMSN through remote control (you also have to use a modified remote.tcl)
This worked for years, but all of a sudden it stopped working. I am sure I didn't changed anything to amsn or that app.
When I start up the app it connects to amsn, it even notifies me of new email and then immediately it says "Disconnected from aMSN".

I think the app is fine because it just connects normally. I also tried updating to latest SVN.
I don't know what to try anymore and I can't ask the owner because he dropped the app.

Any idea how this comes, that it connects and then disconnects?
Not sure if it has anything to do with aMSN but could always try :p

(If someone is able to write a plugin for the G15/G19, that would even be better. Have no experciense in C or in TCL so dont think its a good idea to try it myself :p)

Status log:
Code:

I tried with 0.98.1 (from the downloads) but that doesn't work either.
I am not sure which is the last version that worked, it was a SVN version but i dont know which one. (up update about every month manually)

This doesn't help really much.
Could you try different versions until you find the last one that worked for you?

Sorry for the late reply.

Not sure how to do that. I don't use a SVN program. I just download latest SVN and overwrite my scripts folder in program files.
I always make a backup but I only keep the latest backup. It also didnt work with that one. (SVN 11845)
Also I didn't do an update when it stopped working. It just stopped working one day without changing anything to amsn.

Np Wink
To see how to get svn versions, look here: http://amsn-project.net/wiki/SVN

And, about the kb that stopped working without changing anything...well...I won't believe you unless you proove it to me somehow :p
I mean, it's impossible. You had to change something. You upgraded something, removed something, changed kb driver... There are 234592837402938750239827358 possible reassons. So, just start with the svn testing (test with svn -50, then -50, -50, -50) until you get it working. So, once done that, make a binary search for the right svn.
For example: If it wasn't working with 11400, but it works with 11350, try 11375. If it works, it means that the error is between 11375 and 11400.

Good luck Wink
