Hello

I'm trying to implement msnp8.I would apreciated if you could answer some basic questions regarding a specific problem that i've encountered.

I went through the login process till i fetch successfuly the ticket and sen this:

USR 4 TWN S t=ticketstring\r\n

i get

911 4

which is blowing literaly my mind.I cannot simply figure out what am i doing wrong. If you need any other specific information i will provide it as soon as possible.

Thank you.

PS i used this site http://msnpiki.msnfanatic.com/index.php/Main_Page

Hi,
the information you just gave is just like you go to the doctor and tell him "I'm sick, what do you think it is?" you don't say symptoms, what you ate, how you feel, etc...
911 means unauthorized, if you get that, it means the ticket you're sending is wrong, make sure you do it correctly, try to sniff what the official client does (or aMSN 0.97.2, press Ctrl-D for protocol log), and compare it to what you do.. maybe you forgot to urldecode the ticket, or whatever...

well i didn't knew that i had to  urldecode the ticket. I decoded it and the string remained the same.
More specificly this the outpout:

well, I don't know, this is all SO OLD (2003 I think ?), and I don't see why someone would want to implement that instead of SSO on MSNP15+, and I don't see why someone would want to implement yet another client or bot or whatever...

I am a CE student and i implement it as part of a project , for an operating system that does not have msn client.
If you could point me out some resources regarding msn15 (i currently use msnpiki) that would be very helpful.
Your help is very apreciated.

msnpiki also contains all the information you need on MSNP15.. or look at amsn's auth.tcl and addressbook.tcl for the msnp15 specific code.
