[SOLUTION] aMSN freezes on startup

Hi, recently bought a Powermac G5, and because I had experience with aMSN on Linux and onsider it to be a good alternative to the official MSN as it supports PLUS! and webcam etc, I decided to install it. It has been working fine for the past few days, but today it started freezing on startup/login, as I have it set to automatically log me in when aMSN starts. Just freezes, sits there doing nothing with the login bar stuck. Its annoying, I like aMSN and not be able to log in is getting up my nose. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, re starting multiple times, installed the dev version. Nothing has worked, it still freezes. I do not have this problem with any other program so it must be specific to aMSN. Many thanks in advance.

SOLVED! If you have this problem, simply run the following command in terminal, works great again now
.
Code:
sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force

Hi, welcome to the forums,
thanks for showing us this trick! Hopefully it will help many other users!
I wonder why it happens though and how I could force it to be ran at installation...

that's why he said to type 'sudo' before it.

you must be root to run this tool
If you put 'sudo' it wouldn't say you need to be root since 'sudo' makes you run the command as root

Just downloaded aMSN 0.98.3 and now I have this exact problem. tried running that code (sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force) in Terminal, it appears to do nothing, here is my result:
Last login: Mon Jul 20 10:25:34 on console
liams-macbook:~ Liam$ sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force
liams-macbook:~ Liam$
aMSN still freezes after that.
Strangely enough, when I run aMSN with a different account, there is no problem.

You could try to delete your account (click on "Forget my account") and create it again

Yeah same thing here! If i try to login with another account, it works at the 1st attempt. (already tried the sudo command to no avail)
