Hello,

0.98.1 doesnt wor on our old NT machines. I get:
Error connecting to server: couldn't open socket: host is unreachable (Name or service not known)

Is this a code change or a bug?

I tried different NT4.0 SP6a machines and the "WIN95" and "WINDOWS" aMSN versions.

The old "aMSN-0.97.2-tcl85-windows-installer.exe" works without problems on these machines.

Hi, welcome to the forums,
could you try deleting the file : c:\program files\amsn\scripts\utils\asyncresolver\asyncresolver.dll and see if it fixes your problem ? thanks.

You mean the asyncresolver.TCL, or? There is no asyncresolver.dll.

Without that TCL file it works. Can I use it as workaround or what do I miss then?

BR and thanks

humm.. I meant libasyncresolver.dll but either file in that directory is fine.
Yes you can use it as a workaround, it's only purpose is to avoid having amsn freeze while trying to connect when you have no internet connection. (it does asynchronous DNS resolution).
