Hi, I did a search on this one but couldn't find a fix.

I've been making custom emoticons which bypass the 19x19 restriction by turning them into an animated emoticon with 2 identical frames. It works perfectly for my mates on normal windows live messenger, but for me it appears very strange, constantly flickering.

The picture is still visible but the background of it goes from white to black and then all black as you can see in the screenshot below.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forums,
the 0.98.1 release of aMSN should fix this issue, but you'll have to re-add those images again. Also note that on aMSN, you do not need any 'trick' in order to override that type of restriction, aMSN will not resize your emoticons to 19x19 (if they're under 50x50), so you should be safe by using the normal emoticon.
Here's the 0.98.1 dmg : http://sourceforge.net/projects/amsn/files/amsn/0.98.1/

Hi, thankyou.

I've actually updated to 0.99b using the method described on your site, and have been for a while now. I have added and re added the emoticons a few times but still the same error. I can understand if aMSN supports larger pictures, but all of my friends are on WLM so it's got to work for them.

Any ideas?
