Hello,

Sorry to write about an error for my first post, though aMSN is a great product.

I am on a MacBook Pro, with a Mac OS X 10.6 on a HFS+ case-sensitive partition, and I get an error in the Audio and Video assistant about the QuickTimeTcl extension. It tells me that it was not loaded with the red X icon and the following message : "You won't be able to send your webcam if you have one. If not, it's normal. [...]" The FAQ didn't give me answers.

EDIT : I use the 0.98 version.

Hi, welcome to the forums!
thanks for the kind words..
about your problems, I don't know, I don't seem to have that problem...
If you could help us out a little, we'll try to figure out what's wrong.. could you open amsn's console (command-shift-C from the main window) and in the new window that opens up, type this :
Code:
package require QuickTimeTcl

It should output something to you, could you copy/paste that result here, it will be helpful! Thanks!

Same here using the latest SVN head on an up-to-date Leopard, after having installed the latest QuickTimeTcl package and the latest Tcl/Tk standalone (8.5.8 from tcltkaqua.sf.net). Any news on this?

Thanks! Note that the webcam seems to work. I can click on "send webcam" and see the picture from the isight, even though I couldn't test if I could send it properly. It's just the configuration dialog that doesn't work.

Managed to have a quick test. Upon sending the request the webcam window appears, and settings can be changed from there. The contact (using WLM 2009) sees the request and accepts, it keeps loading for a while, then it seems to be connected but there's no image on his side. If I can help in debugging just tell me what to do and I'll be happy to lift some work from your shoulders Smiley Thanks for your work!

buggami: isn't that the WLM bug when you're both firewalled?
