incompatibility with msn ?

Hi everyone

I was wondering if someone experienced some kind of incompatibility between amsn (0.97.2 version) and windows live messenger beta version?

I am under linux (debian) with amsn and I have remarked that people using the beta version of WLM cannot reach me. They write messages, but nothing told them that I didn't receive them and usually I am well present and connected. If I initiate the conversation myself, it works perfectly or if it is the first connexion initiated by the other.

I tried to close the window each time I finished to talk or to let it open but it does not change anything.

That is really annoying.

If someone knows what could be the problem, I would be very thankful !

This is solved in the SVN version of aMSN.

nope, actually it should work, there's no reason for it not to... as far as I know... anyways, that's still a beta version of WLM, so anything could be in cause there... you should probably wait until it's released, because we won't give it too much work if it's for nothing (they can still change anything at this point)...

arg... just for your info, Behnam (over IRC) had amsn crash everytime he tried to speak to a friend.. it turns out that friend was using WLM 9 beta.. and there is some very nasty bug in WLM beta which made amsn crash... of course, it's now fixed in SVN.. but I just wanted to let you know that WLM beta is buggy....

Hi

There's an incompatibility with display pictures with MSN version 2009 (build 14.0.8050.1202).

I'm using the last aMSN version from svn (revision 10882 at the moment) and we can't see each others display pictures.
