Would it be possible to have the displaypic/cache/ directory more organized?
Instead of having all images in that directory, would it be possible to have:
.amsn/<msn_id>/displaypic/cache/friend_1/
.amsn/<msn_id>/displaypic/cache/friend_2/
...
.amsn/<msn_id>/displaypic/cache/friend_N/

Advantages:
+ more organized
+ easy to navigate pictures of each friend without having to use amsn
+ possibly a *lot* faster when doing the operation: Contacts / Properties / User Display Pics

Currently I have a couple of thousands of images in the cache dir and whenever I check for the User DP... it takes 5 seconds or more to show them.

yep, in SVN already.. the first time you launch the SVN version (or was it the first time you look at contacts->properties->user display pics, using the SVN version?), it will reorganize them all with each DP inside ~/.amsn/<profile>/displaypic/cache/<contact email>/... hope you're happy Smiley

Great news!!!

SVN version mmmh.... *runs away* :p
Every time I browse the "Audio/Video conversation" it makes me run away :p
But I'll definitely have to try the SVN version one of these days.

Thanks! Smiley

You don't need to enable audio/video in order to use the SVN version, you can just compile it without farsight!
