Hi there,

Like aMSN2, I'm using pymsn as MSN library for my little MSN client. But this week end, I heard that on IRC :

Quote
<jprieur> we basically have no more time to support pymsn, we're really busy with other stuff, thus it's really up to you to dive in the code and start fixing and improving guys, we're sorry

Quote
<thinline> what have you moved on to?
<jprieur> move to the People project & move out of university for a real job

Quote

<ubitux> if we post some patch in the freedesktop bugzilla, can we except for the patch to be applied ?
<jprieur> it's possible but I can't tell when. that's why you should work with your own pymsn branch

So here it is, there is no real support for pymsn now, and there is some bug to fix, some improvements to do, and of course some doc/tuto if it's possible.

Is there anyone able to contribute ? I will propose some patches with great pleasure, but I'm too weak to do it alone.

Actually, my client is somehow done, it needs bugfixes (lots from the lib) and the webcam support. I have 1 month and half to work on since my internship will come to an end. During this time I will do my best to contribute/understand pymsn as much as I can because it's the only thing I can work on. But once again, I can't do it alone.

So please, I need somebody HELP \o/

hi ubitux,
yes pymsn is not maintained anymore and yes, we're the ones who will need to fix it up... for amsn2, we're planning on maintaining pymsn whenever we need to, but for now amsn2 is not yet in a state where we need to fix the protocol.. we need to first fix the core and the UI before....
you can still ask me for help since I know the protocol pretty well and a know pymsn a little...

I talked to asabil and apparently he is still applying patches from the community, so we'll have to send him... I'll try to keep my git repo in sync with the bzr/launchpad repo, even though it will require some work on my side
