Its cool that there are loads of skins though. Are they open-source?

Also, I can't to get rid of the mobile group (I realy don't need it, it isn't there in WLM), and whats up with this red box and X sign next to certain contacts?

And why can't I view the display pics of people who are offline?

People were saying they couldn't see my display picture. And it didn't pick up my personal message.

I think it might be a while before I feel satisfied when using this, but lplease answer my questions.

hello
welcome to amsn

1) everything is free over here :-)

2) omg, quick, hide that redx question, kakaroto will get a hard-attack :p (just found out there's no such smiley as the tongue smiley :-()
you can find it all over here:
http://www.amsn-project.net/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions
but I'm in a good mood so:
What does the special icon on the right of the buddies mean?
The icon in the buddy list means that the corresponding contact do not have you in his list.

3) not sure about the mobile group, I don't think it's there for me anymore, but I'll leave that answer open...

and about the other tow I wouldn' t know either..
welcome & enjoy as amsn is the best :-)
(always think about using search on the forum or on the wiki page too

oh and maybe it's usefull to say which version you are using..

Cheers for the reply. I was using the latest stable version. And if people can answer the other questions, I would appreciate it.

Hi NonStop,

you can disable the mobile group by
Preferences - Groups - Put users in "Mobile" group...

display picture and the personal message are stored on the client,
so did you change them since switching to amsn?

bye

You can also hide empty groups (Preferences->Advanced...)

aMSN gets display pictures and personnal messages from your contact, so when they are online!

But about people not getting yours, i've got no idea. Check if you set it up in aMSN.
For the moment, content roaming only works in the development version (SVN) for personnal messages. It means the personnal message is stored on MS servers, and aMSN gets it each time it connects.

About aMSN2, if you checked this thread: http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5299 , there's not much more.
