Hi,
please try the SVN version 10092.
Daniel15 sent me the oSpy log, and we found a missing key/value that I added in SVN, this time there shouldn't be any differences...

p.s.: talking about accessing the inbox/profile/etc.., not talking about adding a contact...

ok with 10092 version the E-mail check it's fixed! good

Now remain the other problem of "adding a contact" already exposed.

As for the adding a contact problem, I get this in the status log:
Quote
[21:33:54] Sending SOAP request to https://contacts.msn.com/abservice/abservice.asmx with action http://www.msn.com/webservices/AddressBook/ABContactAdd
[21:33:55] Received answer to SOAP request sent to https://contacts.msn.com/abservice/abservice.asmx with action http://www.msn.com/webservices/AddressBook/ABContactAdd : ...
[21:33:55] ... status=fault, LastError=soap:Client, FaultDetail=RequestLimitReached

and aMSN says the username was invalid. However, I try it again, and get this:
Quote

[21:34:06] Sending SOAP request to https://contacts.msn.com/abservice/abservice.asmx with action http://www.msn.com/webservices/AddressBook/ABContactAdd
[21:34:07] Received answer to SOAP request sent to https://contacts.msn.com/abservice/abservice.asmx with action http://www.msn.com/webservices/AddressBook/ABContactAdd : ...
[21:34:07] ... status=fault, LastError=soap:Client, FaultDetail=ContactAlreadyExists

So it looks like the contact is added even though that "RequestLimitReached" error comes through? I was adding the same user in both instances here.

when I click on a "spaces object" to open the blog the browser opens and I get logged
in on msn.com, but I am redirected to the page

http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/dasp/notsupported.asp?_lang=EN&account=wrongPDDomain

and I have no clue of the URL to my friend's bolg.
I guess the login process goes through the hotmail mail-box, that does
not exist if my contact is a non-hotmail address.

I'm on ubuntu only, so I cannot contribute with ospy and wml, sorry

tonighx : ok.. I have a non-hotmail account and I will test this to see how WLM works.
Once I figure out how WLM handles this, then I can do it in aMSN too.. shouldn't be that hard.. I just need to find the time to do it :p

Hey, I have the same issue, I was going to report it last week but I didnt get a chance. I can tell you that "View Profile" works fine and loads the contact's profile in my default browser (though MS has messed with their code recently so the page doesn't display right in SeaMonkey anymore/again). So basically profile works, spaces doesn't. Spaces worked in earlier SVN revisions within a few days or so after the chance to sha1.

I am using 4 non-hotmail/live mail passport on XP Pro SP2 using SVN r10229, but it hasn't been working for at least a few revisions.

With the SVN revision of 12-09-2008  (svn 10465) the problem of checking the e-mails is returned.

I have the old error: We're unable to complete your request

Windows Live ID is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.

Hi,

older revisions are also not working for me;
hotmail.com accounts are still working
live.de & hotmail.de not
WLM works with all of them

(sorry, won't be able to send you ospy log as it's not my
 machine on which I've tested WLM)

can you do something to fix this problem?

Hi all,
sorry for posting again on this topic within 2 days :wink:
I've compared the keys/values sent to sha1auth.srf within token on amsn and WLM;
on all my failing accounts, amsn doesn't send svc=mail while WLM does for all my accounts;
it's because of id=3 for the failing accounts (see hotmail.tcl line 84)

so we can:
1. send svc=mail also on id=3
2. set id to 2 in this case
both is working but I would prefer 1. as it's more of what WLM does

in short, I would replace in hotmail.tcl
Code:
if {$id == "2" } {
with
Code:
if {$id == "2" || $id == "3" } {

some additional info:
amsn seems to get always the same id for an account (and also the url for md5auth)
WLM on the other hand seems to use the id it got from the first account logged in as long as
the process is running...

Hi,
no worries about the post, since it's not just a "hey, when can i get a fix" :p
anyways, so you're saying id is 3 ? where do you get that id ? i thought all mails had id=2... i'll apply your patch, thanks a lot for the help and congrats for figuring it out! Cheesy
It's fixed in SVN r10483 with proper credits given to BW!
Thanks again!

Hi,
I get the id when 1 new mail is received (hotmail.tcl line 396)
and also when requesting hotmail manually
for the (previously) failing accounts:
->ns-sock640 URL 13 INBOX
<-ns-sock640 URL 13 /cgi-bin/HoTMaiL https://login.live.com/ppsecure/md5auth.srf?lc=1031 3

for the others:
->ns-sock632 URL 100 INBOX
<-ns-sock632 URL 100 /cgi-bin/HoTMaiL https://login.live.com/ppsecure/md5auth.srf?lc=1031 2

on WLM I only watched token in post-data to sha1auth.srf

ok, I see, thx..
the solution would be to have amsn add the svc=mail without checking the id, but instead by having the function that sent the URL INBOX tell it that it's for mail... this way it will work even if the servers start sending a random id or whatever...
