With amsn svn version 31-05-08, if I click on the received mail icon, a new firefox page is opened but I can check my mail because I have this error message:

We're unable to complete your request

Windows Live ID is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.

And it's not a problem of my MSN's account, but a problem of this version of SVN; I've noticed this severe problem since 2 week ago of svn versions, I update every day amsn svn.

it's a problem with the servers, the message clearly states that "windows live id is experiencing technical difficulties".. I also had that, it was working then it started giving me that error... the same with WLM itself... but then it started working... I just tried again today, and I was having another error, this time it gave me the hotmail.com site with "bad username" (but the username was not editable as if I were already logged in)... it did it the whole morning, and just now it started working normally again.

I've understood but the strange things is that, if I go on http://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=10&ct=1197474379&rver=4.5.2130.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fmail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&id=64855 and I login I can normally check my mail, and I haven't any error's messages.

And I notice this problem since 2 week when, (in the same hour) with an old svn version I could view and check my mail, but after the update of amsn svn I became to have this problem.

Maybe a problem of the hotlog.html file?

Thank you

login in manually is a completely different process than to login using the automated system for the IM client.
If you can tell me which exact revision that caused this issue, I could tell you what's wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's when I added the SHA1-auth system. If you can use WLM and see that WLM works for you when you open a link and that it doesn't work with aMSN, then ok, I'll gladly fix it, but if it's not working with WLM, then report the problem to microsoft.
once you can confirm WLM working, I'll give you instructions on how to get me a more detailed 'log' so I can see what WLM does that we're not doing.

sorry but I don't remember the exactly day's version since I notice of this problem, approximately 2 week ago;

I use only GNU/Linux on all my pcs, so I can't try with WLM...  Sad

Hi all,
I just tried it with a few accounts and from r9879 on (change to SHA1-auth) it doesn't work for some accounts.
I have also tried it with WLM8.1 where it works without any problems with all accounts.
With amsn it worked with my @hotmail.com accounts,
but not with my @hotmail.de and @live.de accounts.
hope it helps you kakaroto

@freepenguin: so could you please tell us the domain of your account

bye

ok cool, that might be the problem...
so here's what you'll do :
0 - go to a windows machine and make sure there is no internet explorer process opened (check the process manager)
1 - open WLM (offline)
2 - download and unzip ospy : http://projects.collabora.co.uk/~oleavr/oSpy/oSpy-1.9.6.zip
3 - open ospy
4 - go to menu capture->inject agent
5 - select msnmsgr.exe and click on 'Inject' (there are two 'inject' button, click on the one in the top, the 3rd button from the top, not the 6th one)
6 - a popup should appear, click ok, then click 'close' on the inject agent window
7 - go to menu capture->start
8 - connect in WLM
9 - once online, click on the inbox button
10 - go back to ospy, click stop
11 - go to menu capture->inject agent
12 - select iexplore.exe and click on 'Inject' (same button as in step 5)
13 - a popup should appear, click ok, then click 'close' on the inject agent window
14 - go to menu capture->start
15 - click *again* in WLM to go to your inbox, so you get a second internet explorer window opened.
16 - once you are redirected to the inbox, click 'stop' in ospy
17 - go to menu file->save
18 - save the ospy dump to a file, and send me that file to kakaroto AT users.sourceforge.net (precede subject with 'amsn')
19 - close internet explorer and WLM (completely, do an exit, or kill the process).

With that information, I'll be able to know exactly what's wrong with aMSN and the sha1auth.
thanx!

apparently, it wasn't a bug or because it was hotmail.it, it was because the SOAP answered "RequestLimitReached" ? at least, that's what vivia told me...

In every case with this revision I can't add new contact, while in oldest (for example I've tried with 9878 revision) I can normally add any kind of address.

Hi,
please try the SVN version 10092.
Daniel15 sent me the oSpy log, and we found a missing key/value that I added in SVN, this time there shouldn't be any differences...

p.s.: talking about accessing the inbox/profile/etc.., not talking about adding a contact...
