sending/ recieving messages

im on a mac & have been trying with 0.97 all evening, was working fine for about an hour until i could hear messages coming through but the conversation was blank & when i tried to reply an error message came up & the messages could not be delivered. i then tried the newer version but all that said was "tls?" was installing everytime i tried to login. gone through various topics but nothing seemed to help/ could not make sence of anything. :oops: uninstalled & reinstalled about four times now. :shock:
any help would be really appriciated!

also i can send nudges etc just not send messages or see what people are saying :cry:
