maybe you're talking about the border, or maybe the background itself... I know nothing (almost) about skins, but iirc, you have one pixmap for the cwtopback and you set different colors depending on the status, and amsn will 'colorize' your pixmap.. so look for the configuration keys in settings.xml that set the color for each user status.

Humm.. I don't see why banana removed his posts, luckily, I still had a window open on this thread, so I still have what was written in there :
Subject : cant skin cwtopback or im blind?
First post :
Quote
hi again. not a big problem but i cant seem to skin cwtopback.
i have a pixmap named cwtopback and its all white
and for the usual status' the back is skinned correctly
but for these status' below the back changes to a blue color
i dont understand cos the default skin looks ok but although if u look close behind the default cwtopback u can see a blue color

In a Call
Be Right Back
Out To Lunch

thanks

edit: i just saw maybe its cos these states arnt included in the skin xml file under chatwindow

second post : mine, unedited
third post :
Quote
<topbarbg>#ffffff</topbarbg>
<topbarawaybg>#ffffff</topbarawaybg>
<topbarbusybg>#ffffff</topbarbusybg>
<topbarofflinebg>#ffffff</topbarofflinebg>

this is in my settings file and cwtopback is skinned all white but its still blue when i open a chat window only with those 3 states in my first post

but theres none for the those states in the xml file..
ive dl other skins to test and they dont have this problem so dunno what im doing wrong

edit: seems my skin is taking the colors from the default skin xml but even the default skin doesnt have those extra states

fourth post :
Quote

update: seems that a white pixmap is the only color that gives problems
any ideas?

fifth post : patrick's post, unedited
sixth post :
Quote
thanks its now fixed.
in which skin did you find those keys?

the rest is unedited...

@banana: if you have a valid reason why you removed your posts, tell me, otherwise, I think it's better to keep everything for the record and to help others.

You still had a window open with a thread from December? Tongue

And looks like banana's done this on some of his other threads too  :?

yeah sure! hehe, I usually keeps opera tabs opened when I want to see them again later (that's what I mean when I always say "added to my TODO"), and this way, I have around 50 opened tabs on the forums right now, and 3 saved opera sessions with at least a hundred tabs opened in each... that's also how I built the Forums todo wiki page (http://www.amsn-project.net/wiki/Forums_TODO)

now that sucks.. I don't know if I have tabs opened for all of his posts, and I have no idea why he would do something like that...
maybe it's a virus or hacker or something that hacks into weak password accounts and deletes all posts from the user... No idea why he would do that otherwise...

edit: ok, seems he did it also on the thread "a few cosmetic issues on SVN", and I don't have a tab opened for that one (maybe on my computer at work, will see tomorrow).
