I want to rewrite msn using c language because amsn is too big for me.
I just know how to realize normal function for example log in/out, talk.... But I do not know how to realize video conversation and amsn is too complex for me to read.
I want get a detailed msn protocol? Is there somebody who can help me?
Thank!

it's too complex because the protocol is too complex. The only thing you can find is amsn's code because that's the most complete implementation that is open source.
I wrote a wiki page explaining all the webcam protocol, but it disappeared, I'll see if I can find it.
Also note that you should probably use MSNP15 and not MSNP12, and using that protocol, you can do a 'computer  call', which is SIP+RTP instead of the ugly webcam protocol used in MSNP12. There's no information on that, you'll have to reverse engineer it.
Make sure you read the msnpiki pages for more info.
