Hi all,
sorry for my question, maybe already asked, but, how can I see bigger custom emoticons? I've already solved this problem in the past, but I can't remember how, and here in the forum I'm not able to find the code in smileys.tcl to modify... thanks :roll:

Ehm I know... but I still see them in small size, as on Live MSN. The other time I had to modify some strings in the smiley.tcl file... (and it worked)

I tried it also in previous release, before this completely changed one, and the only happened was to be changed only the place but not the smiley. I am also interested about this  |

you're taking about the smileys in the popup or the smileys when you receive/send them inside the chat window ?
if you're talking about the chat window, then no, you can't see it in full size unless you modify the code, and the reasons are outlined in the appropriate forum thread.
p.s.: in that case, it has nothng to do with this plugin.

humm.. if you mean the popup window, then you need the bigsmileys plugin and if it doesn't work then it might be a big in the bigsmileys plugin.. I wouldn't be able to help you then!

yes, that I meant.. nevermind, will wait from developer of bigsmileys plugin. I asked for that because of some smiles that have text inside and it's unreadable. For each category it uses an automatic size (different size for each category). When I stop the mouse over of some smile it shows a preview, but is the same size as a category menu. About the previous question I had, was about the bigsmileys.tcl that I could before to change some values inside, so all smileys had the same big size. Now about the automatic method I don't know what criteria uses to choose the size, but some times are very small  |

I found a bug in BigSmileys when trying to change category of a smiley that has [] in it's name an error pops out that says:
invalid command name "rasca"
while executing
"rasca"
invoked from within
"::bigsmileys::ChangeSmileyCategory "[rasca]" "Funny""
(command bound to event)
A thing that I think would be useful is that when changing categories the window where you type the new category showed a list of existing categories in addition to letting you type a new one. Clicking a category name is faster than typing it, and prevents typos.
I sent an email to Zaskar with this info some time ago and he told me he would look into it when he had the time, I'm just posting it here because today I upgraded the plugin to the latest version found in this thread and the bug is still there.

Hi abe, I'll only answer about the bug reporting error.. no, the problem is because we have a bug in the bug reporting system, lol... next time this happens, can you please press the "save" buttons and paste the complete content of the file in the forums (open a new thread)? Make sure it does generate that error by pressing the 'report' button after saving it. Thanks.

hi @ all! i'm using the aMSN 0.98b (SVN)... i had installed this plugin,and i had some problems. i load this plugin, all ok. i configure the plugin and select sort by category.now, when i press on the button for insert the emoticon, show an small menu. 1) <default> 2) Altre impostazioni 116 (this is the italian translate of other settings) 3) Add the first and the third works...but the second not work!!! (and would report the error at AMSN) to view the emoticon, i do not select sort by category, but not show the standard emoticon. what i can resolve it? thanks! |
