Custom states - won't go away

I added a custom state with a custom message in italics after my nick, which I used for about 2 days.: But even though I have deleted it (twice actually), it still keeps returning, even when I use predefined states w/o the custom message. Please fix =)

When does it return? When you restart amsn? Or immediately after it was supposed to be deleted?
And which version of amsn are you using?
For me it works fine, just tested it.

Sorry, I forgot this thread.

I'll explain a bit closer:

I heard a funny song, and made a custom state with the name of the song as the personal message. I used this personal message for a couple of days, and now it returns everytime i start aMSN. It returns everytime i use the predefined states (Online, Away, Busy and so on).

I can use other custom states with other personal messages, but when I return to the predefined ones. the name of the song returns. So I created a personal message containing only a space, but after I watch fullscreen movies, the state is often changed back to Online.

It's a bit annoying, since the name of the song is "Let's Fighting Love", and it's a joke from South Park.. So noone understands it and thinks two things: I'm a loser and I don't speak english

As I mentioned, I have even deleted the spesific state, it returned twice, but now it's gone. But the personal message is still here, in all the predefined states..

Try this: change your PSM, without entering any custom states, just go to the Change Nick dialog and change your PSM from there. Then press Ctrl+C from aMSN's contact list to see the Console. In there, type: save_config . After this, restart aMSN and see if the song is still there...

Actually, the save_config part is not necessary if you are absolutely sure that aMSN will exit cleanly, without being killed or anything. However, better safe than sorry

yes, I think that somehow amsn got killed the last time you used that custom state or something like that, so that personal message got saved as being your personal message instead of being saved as "custom state personal message" so now it always returns when you set your status to a normal status.. just change your psm with the change nick dialog and it should fix it.
the save_config part is not necessary I think, it should do it automatically as soon as you press 'ok' when in the change nick dialog.
