Hey,

When I open the Audio and Video assistant it will let me choose two video devices.
The first one is "v4l2: ASUS TV-FM 7134" my tv tuner card with 3 channels: "Television", "Composite1" and "S-Video"
And the second is "v4l: Logitech QuickCam IM/Connect" with only 1 channel: "ZC301-2"
I'm using the gspcav1 driver for my Logitech QuickCam from the spca5xx project http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html.
However even when I select my webcam "v4l: Logitech QuickCam IM/Connect" with channel: "ZC301-2" it doesn't seem to remember it.
It works during the session, but when I close aMSN and restart it I will have to rerun the assistant again in order to select my webcam.
Else it will automaticly select my tv-tuner card.

EDIT:
When I play a test sound at Step3 it will give this error when I click Next to go to Step 4:

bad window path name ".assistant1.bodyf.contentf.right.testf.stoptest"
    while executing
"bind $w.testf.stoptest <ButtonPress-1> """
    (procedure "::AVAssistant::endPlayTest" line 2)
    invoked from within
"::AVAssistant::endPlayTest .assistant1.bodyf.contentf.right"
    ("after" script)

EDIT2:
Not really a bug but look at this:

You cant move the sliders and the value wont change, however when you pretend to drag the sliders to the left or right the image will change, for example I can make my cam more bright by click the Brightnes slider and move it to the right but the value will stay the same and the bar wont change its place.

2 first issues should be fixed. Can you test, please ?

About the 3rd one, it's well known, but i can't do much. My webcam driver, the same as yours, don't allow to get the corrected value of brightness, contrast, ...
but with some drivers, this can make weird issues. That's why it's this way.

as billiob said, it's an issue (the 3rd one) with the driver, those values are retreived directly from the driver and it seems the driver doesn't save the new value when you change it, which is why you get those results... get a better webcam with better driver, it will work, get a worse webcam with a worse driver, it will be even worse.. it all depends on the driver, so sorry, you'll have to live with it!

Regarding the third issue: When I move the sliders at the assistant window, they will work correctly and move, the value will change like it should.
But when I click the webcam settings button in my own preview window (when im sending video) those sliders will be stuck, so there must be a difference between the sliders at the assistant window and the sliders at the preview-preferences.

EDIT:

Thanks  alot for fixing the first two issues, you guys really own.
The bug is gone and it will remember my webcam now Smiley no need to restart the wizard everytime.
But as stated above, is there a difference between the sliders at the assistant window and the sliders at the webcam-sending window ?
Cause it seems the sliders at the assistant window are working fine.
