May not be news to you...

1)msn_svn030207rev7909
does not work properly. Some contacts appear offline when they are really online. I cannot message them at all.

2)msn_svn281206rev7701
Not sure if this rev makes a difference.

3)msn_svn300107rev7865
Some contacts appear offline like rev7909

4)msn_svn160107revunknown
Some contacts appear offline like rev7909

5)msn_svn080107revunknown
Some contacts appear offline like rev 7909

Has something major happened to the msn protocol/servers recently? I have been having problems over the past 5-7 days with various situations. Sometimes I cannot get a user to "join" the convo, I have to click their name in the contact list many times. This has been reported on Windows Messenger Live also. More recently the problem has got worse. Seems some users are experiencing this, others arent...

It seems the bug occurs on the *second* time you login sometimes. I am guessing this is a server problem.

UPDATE: This was only in non-HTTP mode. 0.96 works fine in HTTP mode. I will test the other versions with HTTP mode now...

it's probably an issue with the servers if you the status of the users is wrong, or if you can't open a chat window.. it should disappear soon... also, I think there was an issue fixed related to this problem with offline/online contacts that was fixed today in SVN, maybe you can try with that and see if it helps.
