how to send external commands to amsn

hello folks!
i'm looking for a way to send commands to amsn by shell.
like: amsn -c change_nick "argument"
so, my nick on the running session will be changed, in this example.
it will be useful to other programs interact with amsn.
if i had this "listener" i could make plugins to other programs like
xmms, to change my nick just when the music changes. and not
changing at every xx seconds.
can i do a plugin to work like a listener?
thank you!

use amsn-remote...
if something is missing, it could be added to remote.tcl ..
you can send a patch and we may integrate your changes (if no security issues are involved)
