Would it be possible to put a background image in the chat window like you can on msn 7.5?

No, this cannot be done with tk.

Well, it can't be done with the text widget in TK, and thats the only thing we're gonna use; anything else...too slow! However, TK may eventually introduce bg images/ transparent backgrounds for widgets....
