It would be nice if you moved all the skins to the svn so i can just get them all in one go and be able to check for updates that way.

Also I vote that Emerald should be the new default skin but you need to get rid of the "colorbar.png" its to large and obnoxious.

Hi Majin,
We do have plans to get emerald as the new default skin in SVN, we wanted to do it for 0.96 but we lacked time and we'll probably do it for 0.97... We're just waiting for Gus to finish up Emerald 2, as he's been working on it in order to incorporate all of our comments, once emerald 2 is out, we'll modify it again to make it more 'universal' and make it match amsn's requirements.
this poll is a great idea as it will let us know what most of you think of this idea.

the 0,97 will come with the same time distance beetween 0,95 - 0,96?
only a curiosity

Hello

Take a look at this screenshot:
- left: aMSN, latest svn-version
- middle: Windows Live Messenger
- right: Miranda messenger

I deliberately sized the screenshots down to 60% of original to show you the differences.
I think we can all agree that aMSN is WAY to bloated en very hard to read the nicknames and such.
Miranda IM is a little bit to simple (but then again, it is multiprotocol).

And yes, I know that aMSN-svn is not final yet. And yes, I know I can edit the skin myself.
But please please please, consider the above screenshot when making it final...
Does aMSN really want it to be that ugly and cluttered and bloated :S ?

I am not saying that you should copy the looks&feel of program X, but please see that the current svn-version looks like ****
In Linux, there is no alternative for using msn, so aMSN is the 'best' choice there.
But when I'm in Windows, I 'd rather use Miranda than aMSN because aMSN makes me sick to look at.

Once again: I love aMSN (you know that), and I know the svn is just 'playing around', but please take a serious and critical look at this issue...

i think that amsn is very improved in this last time, looking at the screenshot i say that 2 thinks should be changed:

1) instead of the phrase to see the mail, should be nice some buttons: 1 to go to the inbox, 1 to go to the space
2) instead of a picture in the background, should be better a gradient of some color, or someting like the wallpaper of vista

another thing, maybe the box of the group, should be more little and compact

PS: you aren't using the last svn default skin?? nick are too distant from border and smile come from emerald 1.0....

many changes in SVN lately, and we're improving the default skin little by little, hoping to get something 'good' and 'stable' and 'universal' and 'clean' to the eyes... just be patient!!!
