Hello all,
And here I am, bringing you again some great news... I FULLY implemented the support for voice clips in aMSN...

Here are the instructions on how to access this feature...
You first need to have libsnack installed on your system.
For linux :
For apt based distributions (debian, ubuntu), you can do this by simply executing "apt-get install libsnack2".
Other systems should look for their binaries on their own, or compile from source, a minimal version of libsnack 2.2.9 is necessary
For windows :
You've got nothing to do, just update to the latest SVN version, and you'll be ready to use the feature.
For Mac :
You've got nothing to do, just update to the latest SVN version, and you'll be ready to use the feature.

Now that you have libsnack installed, you'll also need to compile the library tcl_siren which takes care of the encoding. To do so :
For linux :
I suggest you do a
Code:
make distclean && ./configure && make && make install

For Windows :
Again, nothing to do, the library is already compiled for you and added to SVN.
For Mac :
Again, nothing to do, the library is already compiled for you and added to SVN. (For receiving voice clips, wait until TomHennigan compiles it for you, or compile it yourself).

You can send a voice clip by clicking on the voice clip button in the button bar of your chatwindow, you have to HOLD the mouse button down, and release it when you are done recording. You should see a waveform displayed, when the waveform is full. The voice clip is automatically sent. This is caused by a limitation in MSN where you can't record more than 15 seconds in each voice clip.
When you receive a voice clip, it should play automatically (configurable), you can also replay it whenever you want by clicking on the "Play" button. You can click on the "Save As" button to save the file in uncompressed PCM Wave format.

Any comments.. don't hesitate!!!
any bugs, do hesitate ^o)
