How can I see the display picture of my contacts?

Hi,

I'm new to aMSN, and I think it's pretty interesting. I've been wondering about one thing though, my contacts can see my display picture, but I can't see theirs! How can I configure aMSN so that I can see them?

Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Connection -> Enable receiving Display Pictures from other users
Tools -> Preferences -> Session -> (at the bottom) -> Show Display Picture by default

Do you have your display picture in the chatwindow?

My display picture is in the chatwindow, yes. The one of who I'm talking to is missing.

Right-click your display picture and select to view the other person's one.......

Ahh, I see. Hmm, hoped that it could be set so that both images could be seen at the same time, but thanks anyway

Sorry i am new in amsn and i could't appear the pictures of my contacts. They don't appear when they logged on and same thing in chat window. But i already did things you said in this topic. Can it be a bug? My platform is Windows XP family.

there are some other topics on this subject, did you read them all ?
It may be because of the bug of having your windows username containing a special character (like accents), or the path to the image you chose contains a special char...

I also have that problem, and I,ve folowed all the possible solutions I've read in the forum. I have it running under windows xp sp2. Ahhh!!!i've already installed it in my syster's pc, witch runs w98 and she can see the pics!!!!!
