hi guys,

i used msn with msn plus on my old windows computer, but i've bought a mac now, and use aMSN. one of the most important features for me on msn plus was the boss control feature. ive looked for an equivalent messaging software compatible with macs, and aMSN seems the closest and best, because of its open source, and the ability to add plugins. I'm not very computer literate, and have no idea how to develop scripts. Is anyone aware of any plug in with boss control abilities on aMSN? or any other messaging software compatible with macs (intel based)? sorry if this is something that has come up before. i would really appreciate any such plug in.

thanks in advance

I think skperu is talking about the boss mode... if so, just press ctrl+alt+space while using amsn.

Well, at first I thought like you, but if I understood well, he's asking for a control feature, but I can be wrong Cheesy

yeah i read that link, and thats nothing like what im talking about.

i was talking about a hiding feature, similar to the ctrl+space on the real Msn Plus!. i tried ctrl+alt+space on aMSN plus, but theres no response. tried all combinations of those keys (keeping in mind im on a mac), such as cmd+ctrl+space, cmd+alt+space etc etc. none of them have the desired response EXCEPT for cmd+shift+space which password locks aMSN. this is as close a solution as ive found, but theres still clear evidence that i was using the program (the password prompter). is there anything more discreet?

not talking about anything like logging conversations and so on.

thanks

There's a hiding feature built in mac os... hold down the alt key and click anywhere outside the app... it's gone! the icon is still there in the dock, but is you really want you can hide the dock or change the icon of the app Smiley
