I mean is it possible to implement someday message styles in aMSN, I mean change the appereance of how you see the conversation. Something like adiumx, miranda im (with ieview plugin), or kopete (now uses adiumx message styles).

Like this http://www.adiumxtras.com/images/pictures/stockholm_5_2491_1760_thumb_3710.jpg

I know it doesn't really add anything useful other than eye-candy but it would make aMSN the perfect IM.

And btw thanks for aMSN, it's the best IM application for Linux, really really thx. Cheesy

are they CSS stylesheets?

Some devels said that they would start working on new chatwindows based on tkhtml this summer (but I dunno whatever happened to it, and if they have made any progress) and IIRC tkhtml supports css. If so, it will really be a piece of cake. But it's REALLY difficult for the current implementation.

BTW, the link you gave me offers some "omgbandwidthstealer.pn" instead of showing a picture...??

I think it is a png file but somehow it became a typo while moving the file somehow.
Just rename it as a png and it will show you the result i hope.

Yes I've seen that but it's not as mm powerful as an html template, for example my kopete conversation window:

But it could also look like any of the message styles that you can download at adiumxtras.

Here it is with another style, kopete:

yes, it is FAR FAR from being as powerfull.. but what can I say, it's css, it's html code, and we dont' use that, so there is no way we can do it.. but the chat window is being rewritten with tkhtml, so it should be possible someday, but noone knows when.

KKRT : Yes, we'll use TkHtml to have that kind of feature.
But, as tkhtml is not as powerful as we want right now, it won't be implemented soon.

But don't worry, we have it in mind Cheesy

Thank you, and I don't know if it will take a lot of memory but maybe it could be implemented as a plugin or an option, choose if you want it like that or a classic interface.

Although memory is not a problem for me Tongue . And again thx for aMSN Cheesy
