Idea for plug-in: Gaming stuff

Hi people,

I'm no coder but I know what I'd like to see for a plug-in. Something that has the features of the Xfire program would be cool. www.xfire.com

I don't know what the chances are of getting a plug-in to actually incorporate into the stats that Xfire maintains but if that could be achieved it would be good too. The reason I'd like ot see a plug-in like this is because Xfire is pretty much an existing messaging client just with some additional features for gaming. And Xfire's whole messaging and friends layout is a little bit annoying to control and painful. A messaging program with the gaming features Xfire has added on via a plug-in would be a much nicer option.

If anyone's willing I'd like to see it done. Anyone else agree?

your idea might be good, but we're developers, not gamers (or at least, not in this context), and we're not ready to download xfire, install it, play with it for hours in order to understand what are its features, so since you know about it already, could you please provide a COMPLETE and DETAILED feature list of ALL xfire can do.. the more details you give, the easier it will be to judge if the feature can be made or not.
btw.. is it for windows only ? is it support for games in the client or support for games any installed game that can be played on the pc ? what is it exactly...

p.s.: did you try the 'games' plugin for aMSN ?

i was working on a plugin to display ingame statistics in the Personal Message, like score, name of the server, IP address, current map ...
