About removing the button bar, I thought it would be a skin option, or an option.. wasn't sure, but it seems vivia says you need the winskin plugin, so go get it and remove that button bar!

I'm right on it Wink Thanks Vivia for the tip Smiley

*I'd* like the double DP in chat window; btw, I never asked because I know it's not something important; and I can imagine is something boring to do Tongue
btw, please mr.KKRT when you plan to write such a long post: add line breaks! Cheesy

[OT]
hehe, NWM, you already told me to think about line break (or maybe someone else), and I must admit, it's not easy to change my habits.
same goes for huge emails in the mailing list (you know me, right?Cheesy).. and I just did the same at my job, my boss FINALLY read one of my emails I sent 2 weeks ago, she said that it looked so overwhelming, she didn't have the courage to read it for two weeks (plus, she was really really busy with more more important stuff, and she knew the subject of the mail and knew it could wait...).. anyways, I'm 'incorrigible' Cheesy

OT: sorry if I sounded rude - just that I'm ill these days and tend to lose my temper quite easily. Not because of the forum or anything. Smiley

  vivia, no probs (here Tongue)
kkrt, we should program a sort of un-kakaroto-ifier filter for the forum, so it adds random line breaks to your posts Cheesy

again sorry, where can i abilitate this function?

You need to have the latest SVN version to do that.
(In SVN it's in Preferences - Appearance - Emotions Icons and Smileys - Show thumbnail of contacts Display Pictures in the contact list)

If you don't know how to get the svn version, you could try to wait a few days until they release the 0.96 version of aMSN... I believe they are going to implement it to  the new official version... or devels, am I wrong? Sad

ohhh i abilitate the functions!!! is moooooore good then microsoft, the avatar load very very fast!
i hope to see the little icons of status... but is not very important Wink

congratulation :!:

mmmm but is a few difficoult to view, because online contact is the same as the offline...

in MSN, the online contact without an avatar have the same icon of the offline contact.
Offline contact shall have a red icon imho

if you order by status instead of by group (view menu) or using hybrid mode offline contacts can be made hidden.
bye

Hmmmm, you do have a point... However, it reminds me of the endless conversations when the feature was first implemented, which didn't really get anyone anywhere. I can't remember the reason, but we decided to keep it the way it is now. You might find a part of these conversations here in the forum, if you search a little.

My suggestion is that you wait for the new contact list, where we will be able to overlay the status emblem over the DP thumbnail. A first estimation says it might be ready by the end of this summer, but don't take this as a promise Cheesy

Or are you suggesting that DP thumbnails are only shown for online contacts and not for offline contacts? Is this what the official client does? (I think so). If it is... it's very easy to implement! (However, it might be too late to make this for 0.96)

Another trick you can do for now : the top contacts on a group are online, then away/busy/etc which have the status in the parenthesis, then offline who have no status again. Ordering can help you tell online from offline contacts.

Maybe turn the contacts DP in the CL black and white for the offline contacts could be a nice idea... but it would be a waste to code it for the current CL knowing that there is a new upcomming CL...

yes, and I think it would be also a too complex transformation (from the point of view of coding it)...

not complicated.. use TkCximage, set the colors to grayscale...
that's it..
but it will only work with colorfull DPs that you already know had colors... maybe we can use ::picture::Colorize on it...
