that's 100% not normal.. it is slow, it's true, but it's still faster than the official MSN client.. so it's not THAT slow... what's your config? what OS/distro ? cpu/memory, which tcl/tk version you're using ? any info that would be usefull... maybe you're using something abnormal.. you could try compiling it yourself instead of using a binary package.. that may help...

well, i know computers, but no that well. lol. I can tell you I am using Mac OS X Ver. 10.3.9, Processor: 500 MHz PowerPC G3, and Memory 640 MB SDRAM. the only other programs I use are safari, iTunes, iCal, and Mail. those are the programs I usually only have open. I find the computer slows down quite a bit when aMSN is open. Limewire is pretty fast when aMSN is not active, but does slowdown when it is. Any suggestions?

I believe this release was sort of a rush job. They are working on [the planning stages of] amsn2. More info here.

The release was not a rush job.. it was planned for a long time.. the documentation was rewritten but never put up on the website, we're trying to get it there, seems there's a problem... a lot of the wiki pages are outdated, but this should all be fixed soon, don't worry... (we really had a LOT todo.. a lot of us had to sacrifice their christmas (+ creating family problems) to get this done for december 25th and to give you a 'christmas gift release') dak, about your problem, I've forwarded this to the mac maintainer, he might have an answer for you.. you can also try asking in the mac forums, they have a huge community of users that can help you (this forum is still new though...)

that question could have gone in the mac forum.. you collapse groups by clicking on them, the scrip can go wherever you want, you need to execute it
