So you've put the modified file at /home/autoupdate.tcl, try doing this in xterm (you need to enter an admin password):
Code:
sudo cp /home/autoupdate.tcl /usr/share/amsn/; sudo chmod 755 /usr/share/amsn/autoupdate.tcl

hahaha, yeah, I'm laughing Tongue
Usually, I'd get angry for people being such n00bs, but you're so n00b that it makes me laugh, what a pity:p
anyways, I'm glad it worked for you, now I should call this *THE* step-by-step tutorial for total n00b... should we make it sticky? Smiley

Sticky is probably a good idea, although you could make a wiki page, and just point to that?!

ok, if you've followed the instructions, it's another story, and you should have specified it in the first post. Anyways, the answer is somewhere else in the forums because of other issues with TLS... if it doesn't work for you, it could be for many things, are you using a 64 bit CPU ? if yes, then download the 64 bit version of TLS 1.5.. same would apply I think if you use the tcl/tk 8.5 version. The best thing you could do now is to download the tls 1.5 version, if it doesn't work, make sure you've read the FAQ if you use the latest tcl/tk 8.5 version, then if still nothing, try to compile TLS yourself, and if it still doesn't work, search the forum for an issue between libtls1.50.so and pkgIndex.tcl.
