1  aMSN Support / Windows / Re: Can't Edit Custom Emoticons, Can Only Delete on: May 12, 2013, 04:26:41 pm
I can't think of any reason why that button would show as disabled. try deleting amsn's folder (in C:\Documents and Settings\Your user\) and launch amsn again.  (Maybe instead of deleting the folder just rename it or backup it before deleting).

Re-posting the same question won't bring you more attention/answers. I'm closing this, we'll keep the conversation in the other topic here: http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/index.php?topic=8472.msg48991

Ok, let's try something. Open main aMSN window and hit Ctrl+S. A status log window should open.
Open a chat window and then right-click on the emoticon you want to rename. The edit-emoticon window should appear. Don't close it. Go to the status log window and hit "Clear". Then go to the edit-emoticon window and click on save. Check what showed on the status log window.

Also, please do that while not speaking with anyone or the status log window will be flooded with a lot of information and it will make the process harder.

Sounds like a bug but I know this works perfectly. What version are you using? Are you getting any error when you try to rename the trigger? How isn't aMSN letting you change the trigger text? Is it disabled?

This worked for me till a few weeks, but no I'm having problems to even login, so this could be a side effect from Microsoft killing the protocol. It could also be caused by network issues, so just wait a few more days and check it it get's fixed "by itself" (tm).

About the posting issue, your logs aren't uploaded nor stored anywhere, you can be safe Smiley

About the other one, yes, I thought about making an "offline" version, but I need some more time
for that as I need to support all 3 OS (Windows, Linux and Mac).

Keep an eye on this topic as I'll post it here when it's ready Wink

This is a basic log to html conversor: http://jsfiddle.net/alexandernst/beSjr/
I'll keep updating it till there aren't any bugs.

PS: Forgot to describe how it works. Open one of your logs, paste it into the text area and hit the "Convert!" button.
11  aMSN Support / Windows / Re: Group Messaging on: March 05, 2013, 06:43:00 pm
No, you can't select existing groups (that's a feature that never got implemented in aMSN). You need to invite each person
12  aMSN Support / General / Re: What will become of amsn and amsn forum? on: March 05, 2013, 06:42:16 pm
Forums will stay active for anyone who wants to say "Hi, how are you?" Smiley

As for aMSN, well... Unless servers are not shutdown or there is some *easy* way to switch to *something* that will make aMSN *talk* to Skype, aMSN will stop working Sad
We haven't announced that officially yet as we're waiting to see what happens next (if anything happens at all).

I'm sorry about all that :_(

Yes, it's working as expected here. Are you still having the problem?
14  Development / Amsn development related issues / Re: Windows Live. Closing. Down. on: February 25, 2013, 08:29:32 pm
XMPP will die later this year while MSNP will keep working until March 2014.

While it's definitely MSN's death, we're still waiting to see what will happen next. Yes, eventually we'll announce it properly, but let's keep waiting for a few more months. It won't hurt anybody and aMSN won't die until march 2014 Smiley
