1  aMSN Support / General / Msn nick "resets" every time I login (recent error on: November 24, 2009, 09:54:29 am
same here. If it can help, aMSN fetches my real passport profile name and presents it as nick

As someone already said, changing your personal details on Passport.net could be an easy workaround, waiting for things to get fixed again
2  aMSN Support / Macintosh / message popup in current Space on: August 29, 2008, 08:09:06 pm
Hi all, I use latest amsn beta build from tomhennigan on Leopard using Spaces, and I wanted to ask you a simple question: is there a way to make amsn popup (when someone writes me for example) in the space where the contact list is, and not in the current one where I'm working?

If I start chatting with someone in the space where the contact list is, and leave it open, further messages go there since I use tabs and open in the every same space of contact list.

thank you all

4  aMSN Support / Macintosh / growl notification and amsn latest beta on: June 12, 2008, 06:57:28 pm
just tried to log with appear offline status...nothing changed...I'm sure he's using WLM, now he'll ask him if he's using plugins or something strange...it's getting me pretty curious
5  aMSN Support / Macintosh / growl notification and amsn latest beta on: June 12, 2008, 06:17:57 pm
Hi all, first please excuse me if this would result not related to aMsn development but Growl's one..

I'm using latest beta (found on tomhennigan's site) and I notice a strange behaviour of aMSN every time that I log in: I always get a notification window of the same contact, saying that he just connected himself. And obviously that's not true, because I tried even logging in 5-6 times and I still get it, of the same contact..

tell me if I can attach some status log or sort of this..

thanks
6  aMSN Support / General / Cannot change nickname permanently on: June 09, 2008, 02:26:02 pm
I have the same problem...I'm using mac version 0.98b but when I try to change nick, in the status log says only:

[15:25:46] ::NS::handleCommand: evaluating handler for 394

no trace of soap requests..

8  aMSN Support / Macintosh / adding contacts -> error on: May 05, 2008, 02:43:41 pm
ok, now all it's clearer than before...pretty good, even because windows live messenger lets you add any kind of scrap
9  aMSN Support / Macintosh / adding contacts -> error on: May 05, 2008, 12:37:20 pm
so the software checks in realtime if the account is registered with passport? or only if the domain (after @) is one of the expected ones?
10  aMSN Support / Macintosh / adding contacts -> error on: May 04, 2008, 05:32:07 pm
Hi all, I've tried this either with amsn 0.97 and with beta-0.98: sometimes I try to add a contact and it says me "username not valid", but I can't imagine what could it be, because the name is in regular form xxxyyyzzz@yyyy.xx or something like this, no strange characters at all, or typos. It happened to me more than a time...Any idea?
11  The Community / Feedback and Suggestions / Shared Folders support on: December 31, 2007, 11:44:21 am
in my honest opinion shared folders aren't used so much because:

1) on win, they run ONLY on ntfs partition
2) if you decide to share, for example, a folder with 30 mp3s, they will be copied on your hd in another dir (documents and settings\somewhere) then all the thirty files will be uploaded to the other contact sharing, even if the contact just need a single file. all of that is, for me, a real hassle
12  The Community / Plugins / drae (spanish dict search) on: December 30, 2007, 10:25:55 pm
by default it uses lynx as browser, and the only way of changing it is editing by hand the tcl file
13  The Community / Feedback and Suggestions / sending list in background on: December 30, 2007, 09:18:17 pm
thank you. I'll refer to that forum from now on for this kind of questions such mac-oriented
14  aMSN Support / Macintosh / choose between close/minimize on: December 30, 2007, 09:17:03 pm
sure...I wasn't referring to minimze to tray anyway...It was about the behavior of amsn when Close button is clicked. on Linux and Windows is configurable, whether on mac doesn't seem to work
15  aMSN Support / Macintosh / choose between close/minimize on: December 30, 2007, 04:25:58 pm
sure...this is not a great hassle but it would be great
