aMSN Support / Macintosh / message popup in current Space
|
on: August 29, 2008, 08:09:06 pm

|
Hi all, I use latest amsn beta build from tomhennigan on Leopard using Spaces, and I wanted to ask you a simple question: is there a way to make amsn popup (when someone writes me for example) in the space where the contact list is, and not in the current one where I'm working?
If I start chatting with someone in the space where the contact list is, and leave it open, further messages go there since I use tabs and open in the every same space of contact list.
thank you all

aMSN Support / Macintosh / growl notification and amsn latest beta
|

Hi all, first please excuse me if this would result not related to aMsn development but Growl's one..
I'm using latest beta (found on tomhennigan's site) and I notice a strange behaviour of aMSN every time that I log in: I always get a notification window of the same contact, saying that he just connected himself. And obviously that's not true, because I tried even logging in 5-6 times and I still get it, of the same contact..
tell me if I can attach some status log or sort of this..
thanks

I have the same problem...I'm using mac version 0.98b but when I try to change nick, in the status log says only:
[15:25:46] ::NS::handleCommand: evaluating handler for 394
no trace of soap requests..

aMSN Support / Macintosh / adding contacts -> error
|
on: May 04, 2008, 05:32:07 pm

Hi all, I've tried this either with amsn 0.97 and with beta-0.98: sometimes I try to add a contact and it says me "username not valid", but I can't imagine what could it be, because the name is in regular form xxxyyyzzz@yyyy.xx or something like this, no strange characters at all, or typos. It happened to me more than a time...Any idea?

The Community / Feedback and Suggestions / Shared Folders support

in my honest opinion shared folders aren't used so much because:
1) on win, they run ONLY on ntfs partition 2) if you decide to share, for example, a folder with 30 mp3s, they will be copied on your hd in another dir (documents and settings\somewhere) then all the thirty files will be uploaded to the other contact sharing, even if the contact just need a single file. all of that is, for me, a real hassle

sure...I wasn't referring to minimze to tray anyway...It was about the behavior of amsn when Close button is clicked. on Linux and Windows is configurable, whether on mac doesn't seem to work
