hi, what about msnp16 status in amsn? I do ctrl+shift+c, then:
Code:

(amsn_dev) 1 % config::setKey protocol 16
16

but as soon as I login:
Code:

(amsn_dev) 2 % config::getKey protocol
15

am I missing something?
(and yes, im using latest svn)
4  aMSN Support / Linux / [solved] tk bug with latest xproto versions - patch given on: August 20, 2008, 09:01:26 pm
ok it seems to be a known bug:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225999
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2010422&group_id=12997&atid=112997

edit: the last patch in the b.g.o page works also with tk 8.5.1, even if it needs a better syntax (1 hunk failed)
5  aMSN Support / Linux / [solved] tk bug with latest xproto versions - patch given on: August 20, 2008, 07:15:29 pm
sorry if Im posting such a (probably) noob question but:
Im running a fresh gentoo system, built up on daniel robbins' stage3 (he's the gentoo founder) of 18/8/2008. so, my system is updated. I have both tcl & tk version 8.5.1, but amsn doesnt run:
Code:
Application initialization failed: Can't find a usable tk.tcl in the following directories:
    /usr/lib/tcl8.5/tk8.5 /usr/lib/tk8.5 /lib/tk8.5 /usr/library

here the full error: http://rafb.net/p/ACL5hj77.html
I tried tcl/tk with/withouth threads, amsn from svn and stable but no way. and yes, I do have tk
Code:
ls /usr/lib/tk8.5/tk.tcl -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 17727 Aug 20  2008 /usr/lib/tk8.5/tk.tcl

so, what's wrong?

(is there a timeline? I know, you dont like questions related to amsn2 development but..well, users need to know at least a bit in order to organize their life Wink )

What if you recompile amsn?

Im on gentoo, each time the compile process starts from clean source. and yes, I tried also with fresh checkouts. no way, I must revert to the older one
13  Development / Amsn development related issues / svn trunk rev 9577 and 9578 look badly broken on: February 18, 2008, 09:39:48 am
do svn up -r 9576 to revert to a working version.
http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=25821&highlight=tkcximage#25821 and other threads about this problem did not solve it for me. ah, just to give more info: I dont have any older tcl\tk versions on my system, only 8.5.1, and I dont have any problem up to 9576
14  Development / Amsn development related issues / svn trunk rev 9577 and 9578 look badly broken on: February 18, 2008, 08:34:22 am
hi, rev9577 (and higher) is pretty broken here. it does not even start. I get only this popup error. I have tcl\tk 8.5.1 on gentoo
