1  aMSN Support / Windows / Bug since SVN 10916 on: March 20, 2009, 04:24:27 am
Yep, looks like it's fixed from what I can see.

Thanks and sorry for all the confusion.

There's nothing else to paste, my previous post had everything in the details box.

Code:
can't read "canv": no such variable
    while executing
"::guiContactList::scrollCL $canv.ca down"
    invoked from within
"if {-120 >= 0} {
                  ::guiContactList::scrollCL $canv.ca up
               } else {
                  ::guiContactList::scrollCL $canv.ca down
               }"
    (command bound to event)

The reason why I didn't use 8.5 is because of scrolling issues, I wasn't aware of non ActiveState Tcl/tk binaries, I'll give that a try later today.

I'm using the latest SVN, but the code fragment above was added in 10916, I guess the title was misleading.

[UPDATE]

Using latest version of ActiveStateTcl 8.5, the main contactlist scrolls fine, but the one for inviting people does not work at all. I was also to reproduce this same effect with:
aMSN 0.972 binary install, with an updated scripts folder with #11100. On Vista 64bit and Windows XP 32bit.

Why not just put it in $HOME/.amsn/plugins?
5  aMSN Support / Windows / Custom Nicknames in conversations not perfectly working on: March 18, 2009, 06:48:59 pm
Strange, I can't replicate the problem with a fresh aMSN 0.972, I'll try later with 2 SVN updated clients.

[UPDATE]

I still can't replicate it...
6  aMSN Support / Macintosh / How do I save ALL of my aMSN conversations? on: March 18, 2009, 01:41:30 am
Copy over the folder
/Home/ Library/Application Support/aMSN/<email>/logs
7  aMSN Support / Windows / Custom Nicknames in conversations not perfectly working on: March 18, 2009, 01:19:18 am
How I have it set up.. say I call myself Superman as a custom nick. That setting doesn't automatically take any affect until I set that variable somewhere.

With View>Change Global Nick, setting the nick to be $customnick would show me as Superman on the contact list.

Friendly nick is what you want them to show up in chats, setting this to $customnick would show me as Superman in the chat window.

[EDIT]
These are saved in the user profile's abook.xml

Yes, 3 person chat.

And by crash, I meant it pops up the bug reporting window. I'll try to reproduce this on a clean Windows XP so it might just be my current setup.

[UPDATE]

Fresh install of Windows XP SP3 slipstreamed, installed ActiveTcl 8.4.19, installed svn and grabbed the latest repos. Started a conversation and tried to add a third member. Scrolled down the list and bug report window came up.

Using tcl 8.4.* with latest SVN in Windows XP and Vista.

Symptom: Crash, scrolling problem.
Cause: When trying to add another person into a conversation and scrolling using the wheel, up or down.
File: gui.tcl [3000,3004]

11  aMSN Support / General / where are the logs??? on: March 09, 2009, 11:04:40 pm
9.5 I enabled the logging of conversations on aMSN, but I cannot find the logfiles. Where are they stored?
12  aMSN Support / General / Status bug on: February 14, 2009, 06:29:31 am
Using latest SVN (10979) and just switched into MSNP18 to see what the fuss was about.

Using the multi location login, one being Windows Live Messenger, one being the latest aMSN.

When changing status on the WLM, the changes are not reflected in aMSN. This also happens across two aMSN clients using multi location.

Just wanted to point something out, in abook.tcl

Line 1843:

Code:
if {[file readable [set customdp_$email]} {

should be
Code:
if {[file readable [set customdp_$email]]} {

It's missing an ending ]
