1  aMSN Support / Linux / On-Screen notifications in aMSN? on: December 02, 2007, 11:47:29 pm
Wow, I didn't know about the Global alarms, this REALLY helped to get something similar to libnotify to work. Although I did it differently than the previous poster approach. I just call notify-send application which generates the same notify windows as I might want. Of course, this method does not give the ability to include the person's image display as the notification icon but it's better than just flashing the taskbar.
2  aMSN Support / Linux / About Emoticons / About Tabs on: December 29, 2005, 12:16:50 pm
Hello all,

I really appreciate aMSN, I have been using it for quite some time in the CVS version with the last (unstable) version of Tcl/TK so I get anti-alias. Anyway, I have two questions about aMSN:

About Emoticons
When I receive an emoticon that I don't have, it works ok and it enables an option so I can add it too. Two points:
(1) why not make in the Text that triggers default value the same as it as used to send to me? All right, this is pretty much useless, but it'd be nice.
(2) Sometimes with animated GIFs they seem to fail a frame or so. Basically, the file is "corrupted". So if I use it too, the file goes corrupted to the other side. Any prolems while downloading the emoticon OR saving it that anyone is aware?

About tabs
This is more a comment than a bug report since I'm using an unstable version of Tcl/TK and I can't seem to be able to recreate the bug itself.
When I use tabs, sometimes, when another tab opens, the window start to flick and it basically freezes the process.

Keep up the _excellent_ work guys Smiley
