The msn service has some problems and lot of people can't login even with windows and windows live messenger. I could one time but I only had one user online.

If you use Arch you can try aMSN from the svn with a PKBUILD from aur, just search for amsn-svn.

I can see the screenshot, the amsn button in the taskbar is using the icon for a generic app.

but if your are doing a for to "parse" and draw each contact isn't it possible to check if it's an odd contact use a different image like box_body_odd else use the one we have now?

I would like to see this implemented either with images or a simple edit in the skin xml.

Another suggestion for the contact list, is it possible to add another value in the settings.xml to control the space between the left and right borders of the contact list and the left/right borders of the group because I don't like it how it looks now.

I've been messing with the code and I found that boXpad is controlling this but still after changing it to 0 there is a small space of 2 or 3 pixels.

I want the space to be 0. If you don't get what I'm talking about look at the screenshot

El problema de los emoticones sigue con la última versión SVN, todo lo demás funciona muy bien con el aMSN + XGL + Beryl + GNOME en mi Ubuntu.

The fix was posted in my blog post. Delete the amsnicon.png file and you will be able to click ok.

Just change your font, duh!

You have to restart aMSN after you change the skin.

The screenshot doesn't even shows the menu and I don't know what do you mean by a brushed look, the background is a plain gray color. Maybe it's due the compression or the window decoration but that is provided by compiz not by the amsn skin.

Yes I fixed it, I will upload the new version in a minute. It also has the toolbar buttons in both states normal and over at 32px, I like bigger buttons maybe because I have a big resolution but I will upload another one with the buttons like the one you have right now.

It doesn't happen for me, Ubuntu 6.06 and GNOME 2.14 with aMSN from SVN.
