Internal Server Erro message again

Hello,

i've searched FAQ and this forum, and couldn't find an answer to correct this. Since last monday 07/June/2010 aMSN gives me this message, "Internal Server Error" (in portuguese "Erro Interno do Servidor"). I can connect from other clients like Pidgin, but I really don't like them.

I guess I have the same problem. I try to run a portable version of amsn in my usb flash and it doesn't let me log in. It says "Error connecting to server: couldn't open socket: invalid argument".
The WLM connects without problems.

My problem may not be an aMSN problem but restricted permission from the company's LAN operator. Since I don't have access to forward ports and WLM works fine, is there anything I can do to connect with aMSN.

Well... Try setting amsn to use the same ports as WLM

Thinking better, go to Account > Preferences > Conection and mark the second checkbox. The one that sais "Connect using HTTP method (port 80)"

I have also tried pressing Control + Shift + C and trying the following different protocols...

Interner Server Error

nothing happens with Connect using HTTP method (port 80)

original WLM from a friend doesn`t work since wednesday on windows7, try to connect but doens`t work and no error code!

the original ports from WLM for Amsn are :
6891-6899 (need for webcam+file transfer)
i "open" it in my DSL router it works fine, since reboot today in the morning!

I`am a german with very bad school english ... hope you understand me?!

I don't know for amsn because in an other PC i've windows live msn and it works.
In this PC,amsn (internal server error),windows live,ebuddy (contact list isn't available) don't work...It's anomalous

I'm also having a similar problem myself, I can log into ebuddy no problem on my mac, then I try logging into aMSN and I get an internal server error.
One thing I did notice though, if I'm still logged in on ebuddy when I sign in via aMSN I do get logged out of ebuddy but then the server error gets thrown up in my face, I don't know how to do this whole protocol thing but I thought it would be best to let you know, your not alone.

As of today, nor I can log in. aMSN 0.98.3 on Windows XP 64-bit as well as aMSN SVN version from a few days ago under eeeBuntu fail to log in with the error message "Internal server error".

Changing the connection settings to "Connect using HTTP method" doesn't help on either client, nor does making sure the tcl TLS module path is correct (I'm unsure whether this is related to logins though).

I suppose Microsoft in its infinite wisdom made the servers incompatible with aMSN some time during the night, either through malice or stupidity, but this is just my cynical speculation.
