hello, so i'm a good graphic designer (at least thats what i think) and i'd like to show you guys some kind of wip im working with. It's actually very easy for me to make a design of something but unfourtunally i suck manipulating xml and stuff (due to my terrible english)

and i'd like to know if someone here would like to work along with me on some skins, by editing the xml and organizin the interface, and i can colaborate by making the graphic desing.

here is an example of a skin i'd like to made, i would like something like that cause i use leopard and i think it looks good.

Hola, pues soy bueno en el diseno grafico (o al menos eso creo) y me gustaria mostrarles un diseno que eh estado haciendo. Para mi es sencillo hacer el diseno pero lamentablemente soy muy malo manipulando el archivo xml y todo eso (porque soy muy malo con el ingles)

y me gustaria saber si alguien quisiera trabajar junto conmigo en algunos skins editando el xml y organizando la interfaz, yo haria el diseno grafico

i have troubles with the banner, im not able to put it at the bottom of the window.
iv saved it as banner.png and logolinmsn.gif as well but still can't see it
and i can't remove the background of the checkboxes at the login screen but that i'm not sure if amsn has the flexibility to do that.

The background is completed and fits pretty well, but no HD by the moment.

i'v solved the banner problem. it was a stupid problem actually XD, i did'nt know i has to change the name to logomacmsn.png, but now its ok.
just the issue with the checkboxes remain, if you have any idea on how to solve it hehe.

i'll keep working on it and let you know the progress of it all

Yes, the names for the banners are logolin and logomac respectly and for the checkboxes, there are replaced in the windows version for the pizmaps of the skin, i haven't checked un unix version, but i think are the same, but still left the files in the pixmaps folder, probably the mac version still doesn't have that i dunoo i don't have a mac

Update

Well at least i could fix some of the problems i was dealing with.
So here's the - progress? - till the moment.


still not able to change the checkboxes, it seems like mac doesn't replace the default cb's with the ones on the pixmaps
now i got that gray line, can't get rid of it... looks crapy 


Finally i decide it to load this singing in animation, i believe it's more like the main concept.

and thats all for now. i'm almost done with the contact list but still needs a couple of things to fix.
a question:

How can i determine the separation between one contact list and other?
ex. friends, everyone, familly... the boxes are way to near, and i can't separate them

Update 03-14-10

So here it is.. more or less. I mean it's not like the original PSD obviusly but whatever.
i tried and tried again and so many times and it's f** virtually impossible to replace the checkboxes 
but what the hell i can live with it. At least i could remove the crappy little gray line


And this is somehow the result on the contact list.
first of all, yes, you can be sure i totally agree with you when i say the colorbar is a waste of space and completely useless, but it was the only way available to fix an issue related with it. Needless to say the search box text has no function lol

I still need help with the contacts boxes i can't give them space betwen, thats driving me crazy


Whats left?:
- Add notifiers (already designed)
- emoticons
- Sounds
- Chat boxes (the original color scheme looks pretty good actually, maybe i will just leave that alone and give the credits to the author, well i'll do it anyway)
- anything else...

still lot of work to do but maybe i will upload the skin after adding the notifiers for you guys to test it.
