So I have to reinstall aMSN (to 0.98.3) and then install SVN again? Sad
Do I loose my chat logs, preferences, plugins, etc..?

I've done that a few times now, and never had a problem with that (apart maybe the received files),
You can backup all that, if you want to be on the save side
save the user profile at:
%USERPROFILE%\amsn
Where %USERPROFILE% is usually
C:\Documents and Settings\%username% on Windows XP

and the received documents usually at:
C:\Program Files\amsn\scripts\amsn_received

I uninstalled aMSN and then installed 0.98.3 version of it (and then installed SVN). No problem anymore! Thanks for your help BW!
And to razzie: No, it wasn't  fixed in SVN 12008. I think we are talking of a different error.
