Blocked contact starts a chat...

Hi there,

Most peculiar: I blocked and removed a few contacts -but this morning one of those started a chat with me... How's that possible? He's not in my contact list any more and I did opt for 'remove from Windows Life Messenger too'.

I have an iMac.

Hi, this is really strange. Could you go to Account > Preferences > Privacity, and select the option that says "Let only people that I have accepted contact with me" and tell us if that still happens?

Hi, thanks for your answer. I did what you suggested and clicked 'save' before exit.
When I opened Privacy this morning my selection was blanc... I clicked & saved it again and closed it. On reopening it was gone again...

I had no chat with Blocked Contacts (yet) but I'll keep you posted.

You're the second person that says that preferences window doesn't save the prefs... This could be a bug, I'll let you know more when I have something.

I am having this exact and annoying problem also.
It won't save this setting.
However saves the other Preferences, as far as I can tell.
Is there another way to change this setting? Like the about:config way in Firefox?

Could you open amsn main window, hit CTRL + S, and then click on the "Clear" button on the new window that will appear. Once done that and without closing that new window, go to preferences and move that contact to the blocked contacts list. Then click save. Once done that copy the text from the window and copy it in pastebin.

In my case I clicked on the 'Only users I accepted are allowed to contact me' button and this is what appeared on the log:
